All are welcome to join a training course which covers how to initially deal with a number of life threatening emergencies – including choking, bleeding, heart attacks, unconsciousness, CPR and we will also demonstrate how to use the two public access defibrillators we have in Yarpole.

This course teaches practical and easy to learn skills that really can save a life. The course involves some practical work and it is recommended you wear comfortable clothes including covered legs. The course does not involve any testing.

Some of you may have done this type of course before but if you have then you are still welcome to come as it is always good to re-fresh these skills.

The sessions will be run at the Parish Hall; numbers on each course will be limited to 24 people so that everyone will have adequate support and supervision whilst practicing these skills. These sessions are open to all aged 11 years and above – but places must be pre-booked.

To book a place please write your name and a contact telephone number on the booking sheet for the date you want to attend. The booking sheets will be located in the church from September 9th onwards. Alternatively you can book a place by e-mailing and leaving your name and a contact number at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

If the courses become full we will start a waiting list and another course may be organised.

The courses will include light refreshments and are free of charge – although if anyone wants to make a donation (towards defib and training equipment maintenance costs) this will be appreciated.

Any queries about the course please contact Tony Kinsey on 01568 780849.
