The Parish Hall has been extensively modernised.

The Parish Hall has recently undergone an extensive programme of modernisation. The following works have been carried out making the Parish Hall a warm, welcoming and modern venue.

The creation of the large garden area to the side of the Hall suitable for a sizeable outdoor reception.

A new boiler has been installed resulting in better heating of the Hall and more efficient running costs.

The old single glazed wooden windows have all been replaced with modern double glazed units creating energy savings. The outside doors have also all been replaced.

The Hall has been redecorated throughout.

New curtains have been made for all the windows and the stage in the main Hall.

The lighting throughout the Hall has been improved and the loop system repaired.

The car parking area has been enlarged allowing easier parking for more cars.

The carpark at the rear of the Hall has been cleared of debris and tidied.

Photos taken at the formal re-opening of the Parish Hall on the 1st August 2021.

There is now a defibrillator installed at the entrance to the Parish Hall. This was funded by West Midlands Ambulance service, a grant from the Community Shop, and the Parish Hall.
We await official training but please be aware that it can be used now, the device will talk to you and guide you through the process.

BUT PLEASE do not switch it on unnecessarily, the battery life is 30 minutes and the battery is not rechargeable, also if you open the door of the box an alarm will go off.

From the tarmac car park and up a very gently sloping ramp towards the double doors, access to the building – as well as single-level flooring through wide doorways - has been designed to take account of any mobility difficulties.

Inside, the building is airy, warm and well-lit. It consists of an entrance lobby, a main hall, a separate room for meetings, a good kitchen and comprehensive toilet facilities:

The Main Hall – with its curtained stage and curtained windows – is a pleasant space for performances, talks and large meetings. A serving-hatch opens from the adjacent kitchen onto the hall.  Seating can be provided for up to 120 people, or the hall can be laid out with tables and chairs. Alternatively the polished floor provides a good, clear surface for exercise classes and dancing. There are also exercise mats available to groups.

The separate meeting-room is equipped with tables and chairs for 15 or more.

·        In the kitchen, the following equipment is available: full-size cooker, hot water urn and kettles, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and a range of tableware.

·       The toilet facilities include access for wheelchair users, and there is a baby-changing area.
